Boycott Made in China

B O Y C O T T   ' M A D E   I N   C H I N A '   G O O D S !
On May 01, 2002, Friends of Tibet launched one of the most difficult campaigns starting from Dharamshala, the seat of the Tibetan Government-in-Exile - 'Boycott Made In China'. Friends of Tibet believe that every time we buy a product 'Made In China,' we are actually funding and empowering a brutal Chinese regime and it is morally wrong to support such an oppressive regime - especially one that is becoming an increasing threat to global peace and stability. The organisation warns that China's steady entry into textile, food, information-technology, pharmaceutical, automobile and other sectors will result in the collapse of many of our own industries - in both organised and unorganised sectors.

Save The Hindu

' S A V E   T H E   H I N D U '
'Save The Hindu' is a campaign launched by Friends of Tibet (India) on May 01, 2006 and is an attempt to save the 127-year-old newspaper - The Hindu - and also to expose Chinese government's propaganda agency, Xinhua to its readers. The Hindu, one of the most credible and trusted newspapers in the country has virtually become a mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party under Mr N Ram, who describes himself as "An Indian who has no sympathy for the Dalai Lama's separatist and backward looking agenda". Friends of Tibet has also learned that the editorial board of The Hindu led by N Ram has instructed their centres not to carry any stories criticising the policies of the Chinese government. Read a case-study and sign the online signature campaign to be presented to the newly-appointed Readers' Editor of The Hindu.
